Can you explain what ‘malware’ means?
Malware is short for “malicious software,” and it refers to programs designed to infiltrate and damage or disable computers, computer systems, or networks without the owner’s consent. Types of malware include viruses, worms, Trojan horses, ransomware, and spyware. These malicious programs can steal, encrypt, or delete sensitive data, alter or hijack core computing functions, and spy on the user’s computer activity without their knowledge or permission.
